MY PURPOSE:
Since I was a little girl, I have had a strong interest in random acts of kindness. How do you know what you’re looking for? When is it appropriate to act kindly? How do you know if people appreciate what you’ve done? Where do you begin? My dad always told me that kindness is the easiest way to make a difference - not only for yourself but for the lives that you have now touched.
The truth is, there is never a wrong time to act kindly and most times, random acts of kindness are just that - random. There doesn’t need to be any thought behind acting out of kindness and no additional effort is involved other than to commit to doing something for the greater good. It comes in all forms from donating to a cause, opening a door for someone, sending a card or letting a person go ahead of you in the buffet line. It is everywhere and it has become my obsession to notate these special instances people seem to overlook.
Everybody needs a little inspiration. It is my hope, my desire that I will be able to inspire those who actually read this thing to keep paying it forward (as the movie so justly suggests) and remember that no act, no matter how small, goes unnoticed.
